Hmm i think it was Iron Maiden - Edward the Great... not that great a last purchase. So more importantly.. the latest music DVD purchase was Anathema - Were You There? Quality.

Katatonia - Viva Emptiness. This album continues to blow my mind. It has so much atmosphere within it that conjure up thoughts of a dark city and betrayal and misfortune. So many cds lack atmosphere me thinks.

What are you currently listening to?
iTunes is playing "Dark Suns - Her and the Element" off their brand new album. It has this really awesome riff in it. Sounds triumphant, yet almost doomy at the same time. They are a very unique, diverse band.

Katatonia's - Black Sessions. Has 2 cd's of the best of type tracks... plus a dvd of them in concert... (the sound on the dvd is pretty crappy)... but besides that ..who the hell has ever seen kata live or in a clip? This is a treat :P

Most likely Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth. He is a champ... once he tried to get me on the door list for their concert... but stupid metro wouldnt let me in still :(

The Day After

its 7.30 in the morning and I have to go to work soon. After my late night of 3am on sunday/monday ... I'm still tired. I went to bed at 9 last night, but i still have lots of catch up sleep to do. My bed was sooo nice and warm and I was feeling so snug. But then I was awoken by the screeching of my mobile phones alarm... a hideous way to start the day.

It all makes me think about how people can do this everyday. Simple work 5 or 6 days a week.... EVERY WEEK... and not have something more. They work so they can save up for a house or a new car... or go out on the piss, yet its as though they lack something more. My boss for example is 76/77 (one of the two).... he is a multimillionaire.... yet he is at work everyday... when he should be at home retired being able to enjoy his riches. However.. he is the least happy person I know. Grumpy old bastard... I'm sure he is just at work so he can get more money.

Basically I'm just glad I have God in my life... so I don't have to live this menotinous life, and Christian friends who encourage me to live a Godly life. If their wasn't the promise of heaven to look forward too... I don't know what I would do.

Good Times Had

Well... this is the first post in my blog. A journey started that i wish to continue. Basically the deal is...... "everyone else is doing it".... blogging that is. So this is my little corner. Leave comments.... pick my brain... do whatever. Anyone can leave comments.

Last night I did something I thought man was not capable of. After church some members of the congregation and I decided that it may be fun to eat what is known as a "POUNDER." This item officially named by Speedy and Simno is one of the most foul creations ever. McDonald's never was known for its healthy food, but this is just pured saturated fat. Let me describe it: We got the sesame seed bun (hehe i just typed bum).... then lets have some onion, then a pattie of meat and the cheese that clings to it so well. BUT WAIT! :O there's more! Let's add 3 more oil oozing patties and 3 more slices of cheese. Sounds great right?... ofcourse it is.... so i was like "put me down for one of those." Four were ordered in total. That is 16 patties of meat between the 4 who partook. New boy Josh also partook.

As my 1/2 kilo McBrick came into view, I could already see the oil seeping through the waxed :O paper. That was not a good sign. I don't handle fatty food at the best of times... but this.... this was just plain wrong. I looked up at the tower of slime from my small stool.... its presence over powered me....... but i just could not let it get the better of me. So head up.... i started munching.... or whatever the onomatopoeiac sound is. A few bites in a gave it a bit of a squeeze.. and sure enough the fat dripped out on to the table.

Arteries clogging I ploughed on.... surprisingly a few minutes later i was done. Feeling heavier i raised my arms in the air... a great feeling of triumph passed over me as I was the first to complete the feat.
Well done everyone for finishing. I won't be having one of those for a while though..... i now know the definition of Mc Death.

As we headed on over to After the Supper, Suppers at the girls house Lila was getting phone calls from old school friends who were in town. So Li and I headed over. Two of them Alex S and Murray have just moved into a flat in Macquarie St. It was a pretty good flat... came furnished which is cool. Two other guys, Alex and Kurt were quite nice too. I had met Murray and Alex S before and enjoyed their company... so this time was nicer... because i had already met them and was past all the crappy intro stuff. We had a few beers and just chatted generally. It was really good just to be able to talk to these people. I had a bit of a chat with Alex S, which was cool ... and Murray was being funny after a few beers.

Overall a good night. I guess it is kind of like getting new friends.... I liked my friends at school... but i never really wanted to hang out with them outside of school that much... still dont... and i dont know why..... so it is nice to have some other people around my age that Li and i can go hang out with....


Well that was longer than expected..... but there you have it....
